Holy Cow people, Ayden is 15 today!!!
This little boy who made me a MOM!. I remember waiting so patiently for him. We had just moved from Spokane. Alex had accepted a job with the Special Olympics. I unpacked us in 2 days, Hugely pregnant. nesting at its finest. I waited and wondered what you would be like. Who would you look like.
i had already accepted the fact that you were a boy and had become quite excited about having a boy. I then imagined you as a small, bald baby. When your amazing self came into this world, you were a whopping 8 lbs 12 oz. with a thick head of brown hair. i mean full, full head of hair. And from that second, I was captured by you. We were enthralled by the wonderment of you. How could God have chosen us? Amazing. Your big brown eyes stole my heart long ago.
i never, ever imagined i could love you as much as I do. Ayden, you are incredible. AMazingly smart. A devoted friend. Compassionate. Grounded. The world is yours to conquer. It isn't always easy being the first born. Your dad and I make many mistakes and learn from them. We will make many more for sure, but along the way sweetie, remember that your dad and I started this journey called parenthood with all the best intentions.
